Clubkultur meets Mama Africa
For Club Culture Day, we're bridging the gap between live music and club sounds, as well as between our "African roots" and the modern urban influences that have always defined YAAM's profile. Into the evening we will open the new "Cool Runnings" -our new building at the entrance- and continue celebrating there. On the so-called "wall strip" is our open air stage with 3 bands. Dub is the motto on the YAAM beach and the Afrorave Collective invites you to the Spree stage.

YAAM
The YAAM has existed in Berlin since 1994, since 2014 at the Schillingbrücke. On an 8,000m² site, it promotes multicultural encounters through music, street art, street food and sports. The YAAM stands for the combination of Caribbean and African sounds with contemporary urban club and sound system culture, thus ensuring diversity and exchange in the midst of Berlin's diverse subcultures. The uniqueness of the YAAM was and is that a young Berlin and international audience mixes there with immigrants and thus Berlin subculture meets diasporas in an informal and unguided way, where these groups otherwise rarely meet. The result is the YAAM in all its facets - colourful, loud and not least a haven and home for people who are not welcome in many places in the city.
