The Give me Life Festival is first and foremost a tribute to the life of Iconic Godfather Vjuan Allure Saint Laurent, who passed away in March 2021. As one of the most important people in Ballroom worldwide and also specifically in Germany, his far-reaching commitment leaves a great legacy, especially in our collective.

On the occasion of Tag der Clubkultur, the Vjuan Allure Celebration will take place on 07.10.2022 in the salons of the Volksbühne from 16:00 - 00:00. The programme consists of a panel discussion, a party with various DJs and an active exchange, especially for the ballroom community.

Right after its foundation in 2012, House of Melody became known as the first German House and as a pioneer of Ballroom in Germany. In 2019, the connection to the Iconic House of Saint Laurent was established via the Iconic Godfather Vjuan Allure. Since then, the collective has been successfully working as a European chapter with formats of all kinds between the intersection of Ballroom, performance art, political activism or political education. This year we celebrate the ten-year development of Ballroom in Germany and the 40th anniversary of the Iconic House of Saint Laurent, which was founded in New York in 1982.
