AL KABAREH ROOTS & REFUGE
AL KABAREH ROOTS 6 REFUGE is a community event with the aim of connecting refugee QT*BIPOC. Through workshops, panels, food and shows we want to celebrate our existence and strengthen our resistance. We start with a big brunch and dance workshops in the garden of AL. BERLIN, make-up booths by Queerberg Beauty and community building. Through panels and discussions we will lead into the evening full of drag and dance shows and end the night with a party.
AL KABAREH ROOTS 6 REFUGE strives for connection and visibility of refugee QT*BIPOC. We want to celebrate our existence and deepen our resistance by giving space to each other's stories, struggles and needs. At the same time, we will create a space that feels like home for people who miss, fear or have lost their original homes, amplifying our voices through a rich and brilliant mix of beauty, movement and words. To ensure we all feel comfortable and beautiful, we have focused on food, make-up and connection through words and performance, leaving space for the audience to explore their needs throughout the day and night.
