CHRISTINE KAKAIRE
Christine Kakaire (she/her) is an Australian-born culture journalist. She has been working in music and culture her entire adult life, between independent music PR in Sydney and Melbourne, vinyl record stores and music download platforms in London, and content curation, journalism, and higher education in Berlin. Christine’s writing was published by the likes of Ableton, Boiler Room, Crack, Groove, Pitchfork, and Resident Advisor. As a seasoned host, presenter and moderator, she has engaged in conversation on film, in podcasts and at live events. Christine is a member of the editorial team at CTM – Festival for Adventurous Music in Berlin, a lecturer in cultural theory and popular music at BIMM Institute and leads the Black Creative Database.
PRINCE EMRAH
Prince Emrah (sie/ihr/er/ihm) ist professionelle:r Bauchtänzer:in, Tanztrainer:in, Beauty- und Wellness-Student:in, Visagist:in, DJ und gelegentliche Dragqueen. Er ist kurdischer und aserbaidschanischer Abstammung und flüchtete vor ein paar Jahren von Turkmenistan nach Berlin. Emrah ist die Mutter von House of Royals und deren Künstlerkollektiv QueerBerg, die einen Raum für BIPoC LGBTQIA+ Asylsuchende und Geflüchtete aus Ländern wie Syrien, Palästina, Malaysia, Libyen, İran und der Türkei anbieten. Nach ihrer Ankunft steckte Emrah all seine Energie in die Moderation der Black & Brown Cabaret Show, des Whoriental Festivals und von QueerBerg-Soli-Veranstaltungen. Seitdem hat sie sich eine beachtliche künstlerische Karriere in der Berliner Performance-Kunstszene und darüber hinaus aufgebaut.
LILIA VAN BEUKERING
Lilia van Beukering (she/her) is a cultural manager and DJ with Dutch and Russian roots. Having studied Cultural Management and Art Trade at ICART Paris, she moved to Berlin in 2015 and initially worked in booking and PR agencies, before becoming part of the Booking, Project and Partnerships team at Revier Südost (RSO) in 2022. In early 2020, she acquired some old DJ equipment and set about teaching herself how to mix. Upon deciding to step from the dancefloor into the booth as Dangermami, she founded Femme Bass Mafia, a mentorship programme to help other female and non-binary DJs looking to launch their careers.
NICO ADOMAKO
Nico Adomako (he/him) is a Berlin and Accra-based trans-disciplinary artist, DJ, curator, and programmer. He is active and interested in various forms of social and cultural events and has been brewing a globally-minded, rich new perspective on Berlin's and Accra’s music and art scene, empowering and uplifting his community. Nico co-founded the Ghana-based online radio station Oroko Radio as well as the Berlin DJ collective Einhundert under which Nico is producing events, club nights, exhibitions, and concerts on a global scale from Berlin and New York to Hong Kong, Accra, Tokyo, Paris, and Los Angeles.
Cinthie
Cinthie (she/her) is a DJ and producer as well as the owner of record label 803 Crystal Grooves, its sub-labels Collective Cuts and we_r house and the Elevate record store. She started DJing as a teenager in the early 90s and the depth of knowledge Cinthie's garnered since then radiantly shines through in her vinyl focused, often extensive sets and her productions, which pass through a wide range of classic and contemporary sounds, encompassing the broad spectrum of electronic music. As a producer, Cinthie has been developing her style and sound over the past five years, building up her vast collection of vintage synthesizers and drum machines amidst an array of more contemporary equipment.
