Rambutan
Rambutan will host a mini-festival at sameheads, featuring artists and cultural actors from our community. The focus is on experimental art practices from diverse backgrounds coming together to create a ritual experience that challenges audience expectations.
The evening will kick off with a panel discussion hosted by Yeoja Magazine (the organisers of last year's Celestial Arts Festival). They invite a number of speakers to discuss current art movements from the Southeast Asian diaspora, especially given the recent focus of the contemporary Western art world on the Southeast Asian region.
A small exchange and music by resident DJs will be followed by a live performance by Organ Tapes, an artist and producer from Shanghai who specialises in futuristic deconstructions of genre and style.
Headliner DJ Bod [包家巷] will then delight us with a set that combines poetry, noise and spirituality and defies interpretation and categorisation.
Afterwards, our resident DJs ariesfallenangel, panasiagirl, esper moss and uujc will hit the dance floor with their usual exuberant and uninhibited style of music and we'll be dancing into the morning.
This event is the precursor to a larger event at Studio db on 14 October, for which tickets are also available.

Rambutan x No Shade
Rambutan started with Sibel and Nuur. In the last 3 to 5 years, both have contributed a lot to Berlin nightlife and club culture. Sibel is one of the first members of No Shade since 2017, Nuur joined 2 years ago. Their goal has always been to celebrate the talents of people who would otherwise be rendered invisible, and to ensure that their unique talents are promoted and treated with the care they deserve.
